        WHEREAS, Veterans Day is an occasion for the American people to honor the brave men and   women who have served in the Armed Forces of the United States in defense of our nation’s freedom and security; and

        WHEREAS, from the Patriots of the American Revolution to the servicemen and women of today, generations of Americans have answered the call to defend liberty and uphold the principles upon which this Republic was founded; and

        WHEREAS, the National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution honors the legacy of those who secured our independence and recognizes the continued service and sacrifice of those who have defended our nation throughout its history; and

        WHEREAS, as we commemorate the 250th anniversary of American independence, we recognize our responsibility to honor our veterans and preserve the freedoms for which they have served;

        Now, therefore, I, W. Allen Greenly, President General of the National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution, do hereby proclaim November 11, 2026, as Veterans Day throughout our Society.

I call upon all compatriots, chapters, and state societies to honor America’s veterans, participate in local observances, and express our gratitude to those who have served our nation.

May we never take their service for granted and remain committed to preserving the principles of liberty and patriotism for future generations.
