Registration Open for SAR250 Washington Crossing and the Ten Crucial Days

Registration is now open for SAR250: Washington Crossing and the Ten Crucial Days, an America 250 commemoration hosted by the New Jersey and Pennsylvania Societies of the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR).

The three-day event will take place December 11–13, 2026, in Princeton, Trenton, and Washington Crossing Historic Park. The program will commemorate George Washington’s crossing of the Delaware River and the pivotal battles of Trenton, Assunpink, and Princeton during the Revolutionary War.

The event is open to SAR members as well as members of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), Children of the American Revolution (CAR), other lineage organizations, and family members.

Event Highlights

The weekend will begin Friday, December 11, with packet pickup at the Nassau Inn in Princeton, followed by a “Ten Crucial Days” bus tour and welcome reception.

Saturday’s activities will include a public reading of The American Crisis, wreath-laying ceremonies and commemorations at the Princeton Battlefield and the graves of John Witherspoon and Richard Stockton, and an evening buffet banquet at Cooper’s Riverview in Trenton’s Ferry District. The banquet speaker will be Dr. Iris DeRode.

The weekend will conclude Sunday, December 13, at Washington Crossing Historic Park, beginning with a Color Guard muster and wreath commemoration before the “First Crossing” reenactment.

The Nassau Inn, located at 10 Palmer Square in Princeton, will serve as the headquarters hotel for the weekend. Organizers note that hotel rooms are filling quickly, along with bus seats and banquet space.
