SAR President General Allen Greenly Addresses American Legion National Convention in Louisville

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — September 1, 2026 — National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) President General W. Allen Greenly addressed attendees of the 107th American Legion National Convention on Tuesday, September 1, in Louisville, Kentucky.

The convention brought together American Legion members and leaders from across the country for several days of fellowship, business, and recognition of those who have served the nation.

President General Greenly represented the SAR during the convention’s general session, speaking to the importance of preserving America’s history and honoring the legacy of those who have defended the nation throughout its history.

The SAR was proud to participate in the 2026 American Legion National Convention as a Bronze-level sponsor and exhibitor. The event also provided an opportunity for members of the SAR to connect with veterans and fellow organizations dedicated to service, patriotism, and preserving the American story.

The American Legion National Convention was held in Louisville, just a short distance from the SAR’s national headquarters and Genealogical Research Library on West Main Street.
