SAR to Host Free Community Flag Day Celebration at National Headquarters – National Society Sons of the American Revolution

LOUISVILLE, KY. — The National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) will host a free community Flag Day celebration on Friday, June 12, 2026, at SAR Headquarters in downtown Louisville in honor of the 249th Flag Day.

The family-friendly event is open to the public and will feature live music, arts and crafts activities, Flag education, face painting, refreshments, and more. While the official Flag Day holiday falls on Sunday, June 14, the SAR will celebrate on Friday, June 12 to welcome families, visitors, and members of the community to its national headquarters.

The event aims to celebrate the history and meaning of the American Flag while providing an engaging and educational experience for attendees of all ages.

“Flag Day is an opportunity to reflect on the ideals and freedoms represented by our nation’s Flag,” said Drew Hight, SAR Marketing and PR Manager. “We are excited to welcome the community to SAR Headquarters for a fun and meaningful celebration that honors America’s history and brings people together.”

The event will take place at SAR Headquarters, located in downtown Louisville. Admission is free.
