The Council of Youth Awards was formed by President General Thomas Lawrence in 2015, and consists of the Chairmen of all of the Youth Award/Program Committees: The SAR Poster and Brochure Programs, C.A.R., Rumbaugh Orations, Knight Essay, Eagle Scout, JROTC/ROTC, and American History Teacher. While the Council officially consists of these Chairmen, others are welcome to come and participate. The purpose of the Council is to act as a forum for matters of mutual concern and interest to all the Youth Programs, as well as a place where matters pertinent to all the programs may be brought.

Submission Deadlines for all Youth Programs
Message to Students, Parents, and Educators
All contest submissions are sent first to your Local Chapter → then Chapter-winning submissions are sent to the State Chapter → then State-winning submissions are sent by the State Chapter to National Headquarters.
Submissions are due to the Local Chapters approximately two months prior to the dates listed below. The dates listed below are when the State-Winner submission is due to the National Headquarters from the State Chapters. However, Local Chapter dates may vary. To submit your entry, you MUST contact your Local Chapter to obtain your Local Chapter’s due date.
