The National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution is pleased to welcome Amanda Holmquist as our new Fundraising Manager at the SAR Headquarters in Louisville, Kentucky.

Amanda is a graduate of the University of Tennessee “Go Vols” and brings a strong background in relationship-driven fundraising, donor engagement, and strategic communications. She has a deep appreciation for the SAR’s mission and is eager to continue learning about the historical legacy the Society preserves and promotes.

Coming from a proud military family, with both of her parents retired from the U.S. Air Force, Amanda has long valued service, tradition, and the preservation of American heritage. These values naturally align with the mission and spirit of the SAR.  Outside of work, Amanda is a devoted mother to two young daughters, who inspire her daily. She enjoys exploring local historical sites, designing inviting spaces, and discovering all that Louisville has to offer.

In her role, Amanda will oversee donor relations, coordinate museum and program fundraising initiatives, and support the organization’s philanthropic objectives through thoughtful outreach, stewardship, and communication. She looks forward to collaborating with members, partners, and supporters to highlight the impact of SAR programs and expand opportunities for giving.

“What drew me to the SAR is the deep sense of purpose and tradition,” Amanda shared. “I’m honored to help tell the stories that shaped our nation and to work alongside people who care so deeply about preserving them. My goal is to ensure every donor and member feels seen, valued, and connected to the mission.”

Amanda will also play a key role in developing naming opportunities and donor recognition for the SAR Museum and Education Center, as well as contributing articles and communications for SAR publications.

Please join us in welcoming Amanda to the SAR team. She is excited to meet our members, learn your stories, and help build a strong and vibrant future for the Society.

If you would like to reach Amanda, please contact her at 502-588-6125 or aholmquist@sar.org.
