The SAR is working with Henry Rifle to issue a collectable series of different gauge rifles to celebrate the 250th Anniversaries of primary events over the next several years. These rifles are made available for order at your local Bass Pro Shop® or Cabela’s®.
A special commemorative rifle will be offered annually for the next 10 years, beginning in 2023. Each edition will be offered for approximately 1 year, depicting a different scene from the American Revolution. A portion of the proceeds from each rifle sold go to support the SAR Education Center and Museum in Louisville, Kentucky.
2023 – The Boston Tea Party – .22 long rifle
2024 – First Continental Congress – .357 Magnum/.38 Special
2025 – LEXINGTON & CONCORD HENRY RIFLE NOW AVAILABLE!
We are excited to announce the third rifle in our series of 250th Anniversary Commemorative Henry Rifles is now available at Bass Pro Shop® and Cabela’s®. One side of the receiver features an artist rendering of Patriots facing off British regulars at Concord’s Old North Bridge while the other is emblazoned with our SAR Eagle Logo. It is produced in the powerful .44 mag/.44 special caliber, befitting of the “Shot Heard ‘Round the World.” In order to streamline the process from last year, Bass Pro requests you order through their on-line catalogue, or you may order in your local store. These are not stocked in the individual stores, so you need to order. Be sure and see if you are eligible for special veterans, first responder and club member discounts. They can also be found by searching Bass Pro Shop® or Cabela’s® online sites to have it sent to your local location. You may have to be politely persistent in ordering them in person, as they are not produced in large numbers and fall into a specialty item category.
