SAR Volunteer Meet & Greet

Author: Rae Ann Sauer

Interested in American history? Enjoy helping others with family genealogy? Willing to share your talents with student and adult groups? Join us on Thursday, Aug. 3, 10:30 am at the national headquarters of the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) 809 W. Main St. in Louisville. The SAR is the largest male lineage organization in the United States.

The SAR Genealogical Research Library and Gallery play an active role on Louisville’s bustling Museum Row. Its non-circulating reference library offers outstanding resources to trace your family’s patriot ancestors of the American Revolution. Library workshops, educational programs, and special events all seek to sustain and preserve our history and constitutional principles.

Opportunities abound to assist in genealogy research, serve as interpreters for education programs, welcome visitors at reception desk, assist in exhibit installation, and preparations for Fall and Spring Leadership meetings. Current volunteers are invited, and we welcome interested friends and neighbors who want to engage with patriotic spirit in support of history education and family lineage.

For more information and to RSVP for the “Meet & Greet” please respond to rsauer@sar.org or cwilson@sar.org. Volunteers can also call us at 502-589-1776. Information about SAR membership can be found at https://www.sar.org/meet-sar/b...
