Librarian General Tony L. Vets (Louisiana SAR)
The Librarian General shall be the custodian of the books, manuscripts, maps, microfilm, pamphlets, magazines, and all other such printed material in the National Society’s Library. He may solicit donations, gifts, property exchanges, and may purchase additions for the Library collection provided prior approval is obtained from the Executive Committee. He is authorized to reject materials deemed unsuited for the National Society’s Library and is authorized to sell books which are deemed unsuited for the Library.
Compatriot Vets is currently a member of the Natchitoches Chapter, Louisiana SAR, where he served as the organizing President and continues to serve and Registrar. He served as Secretary, Treasurer and Registrar for the Enemund Meuillion Chapter for a couple of years. Compatriot Vets has served as an Alternate Trustee and Trustee for the Louisiana Society, along with a term as Vice President General of the Southern District. He has been involved at the National level for a number of years, attending District and National Leadership meetings, along with the annual Congress meetings.
Compatriot Vets has worked with the Louisiana Workforce Commission as a Business Services Manager and is a Retired United States Army Master Sergeant. He volunteers as Treasurer for the Grant Parish, LA Library Board.
