SAR Magazine now available on-line

SAR Magazine CoverTaking a big step forward in the digital age, the NSSAR Magazine Committee is pleased to announce that The SAR Magazine is available on-line!  Future issues will be there too and past issues may also be added as time and resources permit.  This is an exciting change for us as it puts the Magazine on our website where members can look up articles or have the magazine available even when they are not at home.  On the SAR Website, click on the Compatriots tab and select SAR Magazine under that.

You will find that the on-line edition has a familiar “look and feel” with pages that turn like a magazine.  Everything that appears in the hard copy is available in the e-copy.  However, there are added “e-features” including adjustable page sizing, searching for words or phrases in the magazine, and a handy link that lets you send the magazine or selected pages to a contact.  Do you need your news in a hurry?  The on-line edition will normally be available before your mailed copy arrives.

Of course, you will continue to receive your mailed copy, unless you tell us otherwise.

The SAR Magazine is a useful and very valuable publication of our Society.  Sharing articles, especially with prospective members increases its effectiveness.  If you enjoy reading magazines on-line, we hope you will bookmark this site and read there often.

Compatriots, we would like to consider your history articles for publication.  To preserve and improve the significance of our magazine’s relevance as a reliable historical source, an editorial review committee assists the editor.  The best articles are factual, documented, and written in a pleasant historical fashion.  Feel free to contact the editor if you are considering writing an article for the magazine.

We thank Steve Vest, Editor of The SAR Magazine, and Ian Towler, Webmaster, for their efforts to make this possible.  We hope you like the new system.  Please feel free to send your comments to me.  My e-mail is bobatbfish [dot] org.
