Col. James Wood, Jr. Chapter Charter Program

Strasburg, VA - November 29

(L-R) President General Bruce Wilcox charges the new Chapter to "prepare the ship for sailing". VASSAR President Joe Dooley and the newly installed President of the Col. James Wood, Jr. Chapter, Al White. President Dooley charges the new Chapter to "ensure that Americans never take for granted all the creative energy that has been spent in securing our liberty.  We in the SAR call upon ourselves and our countrymen to honor our past, to celebrate our present and to care for our country."

Chapter President Al White presented Certificates of Appreciation to four Compatriots who assisted in the formation

And to John Sinks for his help in sorting out the genealogy of several applicants.

A contingent of the VASSAR Color Guard was on hand to present the Colors at the program. (L-R) Bob Bowen,

Francis Lay, Allen Brahin, Dominic Lay and Color Guard Commander Andy Johnson.
