A new exhibit is now featured on the north side mezzanine level of the SAR Genealogical Research Library. Historic SAR Programs can now be viewed in the left hand display case directly outside the Mary & James S. The Mary & James S. Craik Special Collections Room at the SAR Genealogical Research Library

The Mary & James S. Craik Special Collections Room features museum quality pieces relating to the early history of the Unites States and the American Revolution.  The room is located on the north side of the mezzanine in the SAR Genealogical Research Library.  It is named after SAR member, James Craik, and his wife Mary.  Mr. Craik was a descendant of Dr. James Craik, George Washington’s personal physician.  The Craiks generously donated to the SAR a miniature portrait of Dr. Craik painted by Charles Willson Peale at Valley Forge in the winter of 1778.
