Americanism Elementary School 
Poster Contest

The Pennsylvania State Society and the Philadelphia-Continental Chapter participate in the Americanism Elementary School Poster Contest.  The contest is for 4th or 5th grade students, depending on which grade teaches the American Revolution.  A different topic is selected each Spring for the following school year.  A winner from each school competes at the Chapter level and the Chapter winner competes at the state level.  The State Society will select a winner to compete at the National level.  PASSAR awards the state winner a $50 savings bond and the Chapter awards a prize to the chapter winner.  In 2005, the 2nd place winner for the National award was from the Philadelphia area.  For 2006, the National winner was from Valley Forge Middle School in Wayne, PA.  For information about the Poster Contest in the Philadelphia area contact:
