The church was founded in 1808 and is celebrating its 200 years. The churchyard cemetery holds 36 Revolutionary War veteran graves, each marked with a Betsy Ross flag and medallion. Compatriot and church member Davis R. Reese has chaired a group to restore the cemetery and to get Veterans Administration markers for the graves.

A colorful dedication service was held in the cemetery following the church service, with the Color Guard parading flags and Pastor Jonathon A. Malone presiding. A church reception followed the events.

Award to Local Bank
The Philadelphia Continental Chapter honored a local bank on June 26 for its care of and dedication to flying the American Flag. Jim Duncan organized the presentation of an American Flag Award Citation to David Hemple, president and CEO of Century Savings Bank, at the Landis Avenue branch in Vineland, NJ. Jim selected the bank for a presentation because of their long time displaying of the flag and for their dedication in replacing the flag quickly after it was damaged in a recent storm. Tom Showler assisted in the presentation, which was attended by a crowd of about 60. Representatives attended from the Daughters of the American Revolution, the New Jersey Veterans Memorial Home, the Army and local and state governments.
