Laying of the Wreaths at Redoubt 9 October 20, 2006 "On the night of October 14, 1781, Lieutenant Colonel Wilhelm von Zweybrucken led the assault on a British - held fortification, Redoubt 9, in Yorktown, Virginia. A Bayonet charge was carried out in silence following an artillery barrage. Wilhelm of Zweybrucken was wounded in the melee, 15 men were killed and 77 sustained battle injuries, but the redoubt with its 200 defenders was secured."
