One of the premier events of the Kentucky Derby Festival is the annual Pegasus Parade along Broadway on the Thursday evening of Derby Week each year. Compatriots from around the country will come together to march in this event, which is attended by 250,000 spectators along the 1.7-mile parade route and is televised on the local NBC Affiliate. Marchers and their wives/guests are invited to a cocktail party at 3:00 pm the day before the parade (April 28), followed by a Great Steamboat Race Party on the grounds of the nearby Louisville Boat Club at 5:00 pm.
On parade day, participants will meet early afternoon at HQ. Transportation will be provided to the parade assembly area on East Broadway and from the end of the parade back to HQ. Affordable accommodations have been arranged within 15 minutes of HQ, but reservations MUST be made early.
For complete details, please contact Denise Hall at HQ at denise [dot] hall
