Commemorative Trip to Poland Scheduled for 27 April Through 6 May 2006
President General (1994-95) Stewart B. McCarty has announced for formation of a
commemorative trip to Poland to honor two famous patriots of the American Revolution,
Generals Thaddeus Kosciuszko and Casimir Pulaski. President General McCarty
has been appointed as ambassador to Poland by two groups, the Sons of the American
Revolution, and the Sons of the Revolution. He has previously led trips
in 1994 and 1995.
The excursion is being coordinated by travel consultant S. Paul Bosse of Around
the World travel of Yardley, Pennsylvania. Mr. Bosse may be contacted

The tour cost is $2,550 per person, which includes air fare from John F Kennedy
(JFK) to Warsaw, Poland. There is an additional supplement of $375 also
required for the trip. Flights costs to and from JFK are excluded from
the package price. Mr. Bosse may be contacted for assistance in making
any reservations. The package price includes accommodations at a 4 Star
Holiday Inn (double occupancy), three meals each day, entrance fees and insurance
that covers a range of features.
TENTATIVE ITINERARY
Thursday, 27 April 2006-depart JFK, New York at 10:30 PM, and arrive in Warsaw, Poland.
Friday, 28 April-Arrive in Gdansk, Poland. A short trip city tour and dinner are planned.
Saturday, 29 April-Tour of the old city of Gdansk and Gdynia, with a visit to the
shipyard where Solidarity began. Travelers will spend the night in Gdansk.
Sunday, 30 April-Departure from Malbork(the Teutonic Knight's fortress), city of
Torun (birthplace of Copernicus) and continue to Warsaw.
Monday, 1 May-Wreath laying at the tomb of the Unknown Soldier. A visit
with the Military Ordinaire, Bishop Ploski, head chaplain of the Polish Army, and
an official visit to the Poland military museum.
Tuesday, 2 May-Tour of Warsaw, with a visit to the Royal Castle and the newly built
Warsaw Uprising Museum.
Wednesday, 3 May-Departure for Warka and an official visit to the Pulaski Museum.
A special luncheon will be hosted by the Warka Brewery. Wreath laying
at the base of the Pulaski statue on the Museum grounds. Depart for Krakow
in the afternoon.
Thursday, 4 May-An official visit to the Wawel Royal Castle compound, with a wreath
laying at the Cathedral crypt of Kosciuszko and a visit to the Kosciuszko Mound.
Friday, 5 May-Tour of Krakow and personal time for shopping or other activities
on the Square.
Saturday, 6 May-Morning tour of Wieliczka Salt Mines and an afternoon visit to Auschwitz.
Sunday, 7 May-Departure from Krakow to Warsaw, with international departure for JFK in the evening.
