Compatriots from fifteen state societies gathered in Annapolis, Maryland for the 2007 Atlantic Middle States Conference and meetings of the SAR Foundation Board and Executive Committee. The attendees included 50 Compatriots and 38 wives or guests. It was a coming home celebration for President General Bruce A. Wilcox of Virginia. He graduated from the Naval Academy at Annapolis in 1958.

Conference Chairman Duane Tackitt of Maryland, welcomed the conferees at the Friday Night Reception at the Sheraton Annapolis Hotel.. Despite the antiquity of his commission, there is no truth to the rumor that President General Wilcox served onboard tall ships when he graduated from Annapolis. He spoke to attendees at the Friday Night Reception

Old friendships were renewed and new friendships established at the Friday Night Reception.
