SAR Resources

  • The newest edition of the SAR Revolutionary War Graves Register on CDROM contains more than 140,000 names and burial locations of soldiers, sailors and civilian Patriots of the Revolutionary War, as well as many of their spouses.  The majority of records also contain various details on birth, death, type of service, state served and township.   This is an ongoing project of the National Society. The newest version of the Register contains virtually all of the Revolutionary War Patriots graves found and reported by the men of the SAR and the ladies of the DAR over the past 100 years.

  • The 1999 edition of the SAR Patriot Index includes information on over 732,000 people named in SAR applications.  This information was put together by volunteers from around the country from records available at the SAR National Headquarters and various SAR State Society Archives.  It now includes hundreds of tombstones photos.  For more information concerning the Patriot Index Project please visit the project site at:   http://www.sar.org/pat_idx/
