Transferring Membership - Form #0919
Explanation
Since it is the State Society that transmits your national dues to the National
Society, both the OLD and NEW State Society Secretaries and the National Staff
Registrar must be aware of the transfer and change their records when you transfer.
Your National Number will remain the same.
The Transfer Procedure:
Be sure your dues are paid for the current calendar year. You are probably
in a Chapter of the OLD State Society and want to join a Chapter in the NEW State
Society. If so please inform the Secretary of your OLD Chapter that you are
planning to transfer, but not to take you off the books until the end of the year.
Please inform the Secretary of the NEW Chapter that you are initiating the transfer process.
Obtain the addresses of the Secretaries of your OLD State Society and of your NEW State Society.
Get a copy of the form at the link below. You may print the resulting
filled-in form on 8.5 by 11 paper. This does NOT have to be special
watermarked archival paper; any regular paper will do. Make a copy for
your files.

When you are informed of your acceptance by your NEW State Society, you should:
-
inform the Secretary of the OLD Chapter that the move has been completed so he
can take your name off their membership list.
-
inform the Secretary of the NEW Chapter (with a check for Chapter dues for the
year) so that he can add you to their membership list.
