Calendar of Events:DCSSAR President Paul Hays invites members to participate and support all of our programs and events.*The DCSSAR won the Howard F. Horne, Jr. Award in 2007, for the state society with the largest percentage increase of George Washington Fellows based on total membership.2008: July 4, 2008:Annual Independence Day Celebration and Commemoration of Elbridge Gerry. Location: Congressional Cemetery, Washington, D.C. Luncheon and program to follow. October, 2008: Yorktown Victory Celebration. Details to be announced. November, 2008: Potowmack Ball and Presentation of Debutantes. Details to be announced.
