Reenactors Committee

The Reenactor's Committee is charged with...

  • Establish liaison between SAR chapters and the reenactor community for mutual support in furthering Rev War period education programs.

  • Give public recognition to Revolutionary War period historical reenactor/living history organizations for:

      a. Public education accomplishments.
      b. Increasing public awareness of Rev War site marking and preservation.
      c. Historical accuracy of appearance and performance.

  • Encourage SAR members to participate in Living History/reenactment events and programs to improve their understanding of the Revolution and its context.
