Over the years the National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution has created
and issued various awards, which can and are presented to variety of individuals or
organizations. Here is a list of some of those awards:
Fire Service - for exceptional service by fire service, emergency response,
and fire insurance personnel.
Law Enforcement - for exceptional service by police, state troopers,
and officers of the courts.
Emergency Medical Services - performing beyond the duties normally called for
within the Emergency Medical Services profession.
Heroism - for outstanding bravery and self-sacrifice in the face of
imminent danger.
Flag Certificate - for citizens who regularly and properly display the
Flag of the United States.
Good Citizenship
Gold - for significant community service as leader of a national organization.
Silver - for significant community leadership over a long period of time
in several organizations.
Bronze - for a special effort serving the community or meeting the objectives
of the SAR (usually for a specific effort).
Eagle Scout - recognition for obtaining the level of Eagle in the Boy
Scouts of America.
JROTC Programs
Silver - for outstanding leadership as a cadet in the JROTC program at the college level.
Bronze - for outstanding leadership as a cadet in the JROTC program at the high school level.
Specialty Certificates - recognition given for special events or activities.
