GR051229
A. If the C.A.R. member of interest is under age 18,
he will need to apply to SAR as a Junior Member.
He will need to supply NSSAR with the following:
- A copy of his full birth record that names his parents,
(even though he has that information on his C.A.R. approved paper.)
- A copy of his approved CAR application. If that is
a short form, he will need to supply a copy of the DAR Record Copy
application that shows the lineage where his CAR application ends,
all the way down to the patriot ancestor.
- A copy of his "In Good Standing" letter obtained from the
C.A.R. Headquarters. (If not in good standing, he will be required
to pay the $30.00 SAR application fee. That fee is waived with a copy
of his "In Good Standing" letter.)
- There is no application fee if the C.A.R. member is in
good standing, but there is a $25.00 payment for dues.
NOTE: Each year that he remains in the C.A.R. he will pay his dues
to the SAR, and the SAR will then pay the C.A.R. out of the monies received
until he ages out of the C.A.R.
B. If the C.A.R. member is at least 18 years old,
he will forward to the SAR a copy of the following:
- A copy of his full birth record that names his parents.
- A copy of his approved C.A.R. application and letter of good standing.
If his C.A.R. application is a short form, he will need to submit
a copy of the DAR approved application that shows his complete lineage
back to the patriot ancestor.
- With a copy of his "In Good Standing" letter, the application fee
is waived, and only the $25.00 dues payment is required.
Note: If the C.A.R. member is not in good standing, an SAR application fee
of $30.00 will be required.
NOTE: If any C.A.R. member applies to SAR on a new line that has not been previously accepted by either SAR or DAR, he must pay the full application fee of $60.00, plus the $25.00 dues payment.
