Tips   For   Guardsman

The National Park Service prohibits anyone from firing a musket in polyester or other synthetic clothing.  For musket firing Honor Guards, we suggest that purchase of a Hunting Shirt.  The shirt will serve as a suitable and authentic outer garment to your uniform and comply with the federal requirement.   Hunting shirts can be obtained from most of our uniform suppliers.  The Dixie Gun Works sells a hunting shirt for around $65.  The hunting shirt is white, but can be dyed.  However, the white color is quite impressive.
