Buttons

Pewter buttons and thread are incompatible!  Ask anyone who has ever worn them.  Compatriot Herb Baer of the Maryland Color Guard has a solution that really works!  Sew your pewter buttons on with dental floss!   The nature of dental floss resists the cutting action of the pewter.

Even is your use dental floss to sew on your buttons, from time to time you will lose one.  And, it is always a button in a highly visible location and it only happens when you are about to appear in public.

Solution, using several safety pins attach extra buttons to the inside of your coat.  It takes only a minute to make the necessary repairs.
