A new exhibit is now featured on the north side mezzanine level of the SAR Genealogical Research Library. Historic SAR Programs can now be viewed in the left hand display case directly outside the Mary & James S. Craik Special Collections Room. These 12 programs range from 1892-1925 and are all part of the NSSAR Archives. They feature many significant state and national SAR events, including early SAR Congress Banquet programs. These programs provide evidence of a time when these types of events were memorialized with beautifully intricate programs made to cherish for years to come. They feature details such as colorful covers tied with delicate ribbons, foiled lettering, and full dinner menus, all on thick cotton paper. The high quality of the materials used to craft these programs has resulted in their remaining in good condition throughout the years. Remember to stop by the exhibit next time you are in the library!
