The National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution (known hereafter as NSSAR) is a not for profit, tax-exempt organization. Maintenance of its tax-exempt status is important for both continued financial stability, public and member support. Therefore, the Internal Revenue Service, as well as other regulatory agencies, tax officials and other stakeholders view the policy and operations of the SAR as a public trust, which is subject to scrutiny by and accountable to such authorities as well as its constituents.

This is the PARTNERS IN PATRIOTISM Reporting form for the Patriot Outreach Committee.

Use this form to report the death of a Fellow Compatriot.  Please be sure to contact the State Society and Chapter Secretaries and provide them with the information concerning the death of a Compatriot as well.

This is a large version of the Library Handout that is intended to be used to hand out or place on a counter or at a booth.

Members to have the ability to print off their own copies for events etc.

The goal of the Friends of the SAR Library is to raise $150,000 for the Library Endowment Fund. Also, the Society Chairman of the Friends of the SAR Library will coordinate the donation of books, microfilms, etc. direct to the NSSAR Library and will promote the NSSAR Library within his Society so that all SAR Members are familiar with it and its programs.

This form defines the requirements and responsibilities of a George Washington Endowment Fund Board Member.

The highest award presented to a member by the National Society. It is presented for distinguished service rendered to the SAR on the National level. Members are selected by the Minuteman Committee from submitted applications. The Committee is appointed by the President General from previous recipients of the award. It is presented during the Annual Congress to no more than six recipients per year. More information can be found in the SAR Handbook.

Reports that are made before June 1 will be included in the Public Service Awards Booklet at the NSSAR Congress for that year.

The Patriot Medal is awarded only by a state society. It is the highest award given for service at the state or chapter level. This medal is presented only to individuals and may be received ONLY once. It represents long, faithful and outstanding service at the state and/or chapter level. Service at the national level can not be considered in making the award.

This information and donation form is used for gifts and donations to the six million dollar capital campaign to build and endow the Library expansion.

Please use this form to report the change in officers to National Headquarters.
