The Library is located on the second floor of the NSSAR Headquarters building. There is elevator access for those who require it. When visiting the Library the first thing to do is sign in. This is strictly used for statistical information. If you are a member of the SAR, the spouse of an SAR, DAR, SR or an FOL member there is no charge for the use of the research facility. All others are charged a $5.00 daily research fee for use of the Library materials.
The Library is setup to allow for open browsing of the materials available. When done with a research book at one of our many tables, we ask that you not attempt to reshelve the book. Just place the book on one of the library carts located around the Library. Also, please keep your eyes open and watch for step stools, chairs or other items that may be placed on the floor around the research areas.
Supervise your personal items as the NSSAR is not responsible for lost or stolen items. The NSSAR Library reserves the right to search all bags, briefcases and purses for the protection of our collections.
There is no eating or drinking allowed in the Library. A water cooler with disposable cups is located on the Library floor. There are no vending machines located in the NSSAR Headquarters. The Library does not have a patron break room available.

The rooms off of the primary room hold the state, county and city histories and research materials. There is also a separate room for the microfilm and microfiche collections.
